Busse HHFSH question

I used to have a HHFSH... sold it because it is about the same size as the NMSFNO. Both are great, but the value of the HH kept me from being able to abuse it like I do my NMSFNO. So... I sold it. No regrets!

Here is my well loved NMSFNO... you might want to check into them and save some money. ;)

Although... the FSH IS the Busse Combat logo knife... which is very cool in it's own right.

Now that is a nice knife. I like the finish on the blade and how it looks a bit beaten up. I dig the logo too.
Thanks for the advice. I have to check it out. How long is that actual cuting blade on that?

Wow, they are asking over $1000 for that knife? It sit here on the forums for a while before it sold at $500. I wanted it really bad but just didn't have the cash at the time.

If your partial to the arctic white coating, there are a few NMSFNO's out there with it.

Heres an un altered photo, from left to right = SAR4, BATAC 2007SE, Jack Hammer (competition finish), NMSFNO (w/ magnum scales)

This photo has had a photo filter applied to it that makes the arctic white coating look darker and more grey than it actually is, frmo left to right = BATAC 2007SE, Choiless Tank Buster (no swedge), NMSFNO (w/ magnum scales)

That's why I left Europe and went to the desert :grumpy: Taxes, Customs and more taxes. How can a decent man get his INFI-fix there?

Actually I'm not really into that coating. That HHFSH just happened to be the only Busse in that size range and blade geometry that I was able to find from whole Europe.
White looks beautiful on that blade. And I even like the quote. But I wouldn't mind darker coating on a blade. The knife is going to be a user like all my knives are...
In the end, as long as it's coated with something. In my enviroment all the extra rust resistance is a plus.

How long is the cutting edge on that NMSFNO??

It's 8 inches, same as the FSH. A great website that has always been helpful to me is www.bussecollector.com.

Thanks once more to everyone for their input!
I think I'm going for NMSFNO's as my first Busse. The lighter weight over HHFSH was the deal braker. ( The SAR-series is kinda haunting me as well... :))

On to the exchange forums scouting for the one.

Cheers!

Last visible canary,...."where does he get those wonderful toys?" i've got a hhfsh you've got to see. i'll post as soon as i can.

Nice pics! Good comparison...

I've been reading that people are having problems gettin these thick Busses sharp. And that they don't come out of the box as sharp as many would have hoped. Ok, I know a blade like NMSFNO can't be the greatest slicer, but is this a fact that Busses don't come out that sharp?

Is there a difference between satin blades with coated ones? What about differences between the models. For example NMSFNO & SAR6/8 ??
