Busse horde uncovered!!!

Great score Bill!! You've always been good at sniffing out Busses in the wild. A master of Hogdom!

I recall having at least one sheath like the SH/BM back in the day and didn't care for them for a couple reasons. IIRC the end corners of the G-hook curled up tab were square & pokey. Second reason is that my waist circumference is small'ish (30-35 inches, depending on which decade of my life) and the wide flat of the belt hook never seemed to ride well. Just too wide for me.

I've always liked the Eagle style sheaths because if I want the knife to ride higher I simply fold the belt opening down along the rear of the sheath (thereby eliminating the drop) & lock it in place by passing a loop of paracord or mason's line through the opening & tying the cord around the sheath. Also appreciate the pocket for a sharpening stone, fire starters, or other bit of kit.

A Friend contacted me because he had another Friend who wanted to cash out on a few Busse knives. We came to an agreement and these are what arrived today :) There is a Badger Attack, a Steel Heart II, and a Battle Mistress 1of 300! The SH and BA appear unused and as mint as I’ve ever seen. The BM appears to have only been used once as I was told it was but it suffered some small chips toward the point. As the story goes, someone borrowed it when the owner was not there. Probably hit some stones chopping close to the ground. I don’t recall seeing sheaths like the SH and BM wear. The BM sheath wears some Velcro but I’ve no idea if that was original or not. Also the false edge is slight. I kinda dig it :)
Thanks Bill for the post & photos! The old straight-handle designs were still available from the factory but not for long when I first discovered Busse knives; unfortunately I did not jump on them right away, so I ended up paying more on the secondary market. The old ones, including the Mean Street and original Basics, are still some of my most-favorite Busse knives! Congratulations!
