Busse hype?

I have a Steel Heart II in A2 steel, and it performs flawlessly. I have a Badger Attack on order, and am looking forward to putting it to the test.

P.S. Jerry ! Could you E-Mail me (look on my profile) or post your E-Mail adress. John said, that he needed to verify my adress as UPS returned my order. I have called, but have no way to verify if he received my calls. Thank You !

Jerry:

Please send me your email address as well. I have a knife on order and I understand how busy you probably are right now. So I would like to send my questions so you can respond as you are able.

Thanks,

Mike

A funny thing happened here. I asked a question and tried my best to prevent
the flames. I re-read my post and I can
see why Jerry and a few others would take offense. I'm sorry about that and really
didn't mean to start a pissing match.

I am a bit surprised that my question
brought a much stronger reaction then
the guy who claimed...... never mind.

The incident Jerry mentioned involved
a grenade which was fired from one of
our shotguns. Proper procedures were not
followed in that case. (No, you can't buy
a couple to try.)

Anyway, I have learned a lesson that I should have learned a long time ago.
Don't "dis" another guys knife or gun
even if you mean no harm.

One more thing. The Microsoft comparison
wasn't fair either. I guess I just got carried away. In retrospect, it doesn't
sound as good as when I first wrote it.

Sorry.

Suddenly I'm very interested in purchasing a Busse knife. I too have a winter survival pack and it's crying out for the #5!

Thanks Dennis.

I think that Jerry's and most of the members point was don't make a claim without more back up. We all want to know about knife failures and no manuafcturer is immune to this. If a Busse fails I really want to hear about it because that would be news!

I talked to Jerry for two hours last night and he really does care how his knives perform. It is just amuzing to him, and myself included, that whenever a knife fails it seems the manufacturer is the last to hear about it. Seems to me it should be the other way around, don't ya think?

Hey PTPALPHA,

The 5s are neat little knives. Not to big and bulky, and quick in the hand, They index well,at least for me.

The grip is not full sized as are the larger Busse knives, but I have small hands, and like the 5 just fine.

What can be said? Jerry is a stud! I like my basic 9 ALOT and carry it everywhere i can. I resharpens really nice and is just a wonderful knife.
If I had the money and the patience I'd want to have every busse knife but the basic 9 performs well for me so I am happy.
two small things i noticed with it, The blade coating doesn't take much of a beating and when i look at the edge under a microscope i can see small amounts of the edge missing. I am not concerned about either of these though.
Thanks Jerry for making your Basic series for those of us that can't afford the BM but still performs about the same.
