Aloha,

Well, we are on our way; we get on a big jet in just a couple of hours. My wife Terry, my son Seth, and I will be setting up at a show in Honalulu Hawaii March 3rd and 4th. It is the Honalulu Gun and Knife at the corner of Ward and Kapiolani Blvd. Show hours 10-6 Sat and 10-5 Sun. So you Busse fans on the Islands, that's the place to go. I'm leaving my son Morgan here to check the boards and post for me; he will be doing a show at Edison Field, Anaheim the same weekend with his fiancee, Jessica. More on that later. Have a nice day, I know I will. Mahalo,

Andre,
I hope that you have a very nice time in Hawaii. If you like to swim and you get the chance to get out you really need to go to Hanama (sp?) bay and do some snorkling.
Take care and have a safe trip.

Shawn

Those dudes in Hawaii are in for a treat.

Doing business with Andre is a pleasure....

Have a good time and let us know how it went...I could hold on to that Ghost Busse or the triple grind Badger while you are gone (or longer) just so you won't have to carry the weight...Just me being my normal "helpful" self....

Andre,
Have a great time. Haven't heard from you re: receiving the shipment from me but I presume it arrived aok.

Yes, go to Hunama Bay (sp?)and feed the fish. Take frozen peas and carrots. Also, while in Waikiki, hit the Shorebird restaurant. Pretty good. You can elect to grill your meal yourself. Kinda trick.
There is a great little hole-in-the-wall chinese restaurant across the street (actually just down one of the side streets) from Fort DeRussy (sp?).
Man, I envy you. I can't wait to go back.

OH MAN!!!!! You're going to Hawaii, the place of my birth. I knew I should have taken the tropical survival course instead of the artic one at the Busse special warfare school.

Hanauma bay.. cockroach bay.. spitting caves.. don't forget the North Shore shrimp wagon, shave ice at matsumoto's, Ichi-Ryu, Zippy's!!!!

My father says that he has been to the North Shore Shrimp Wagon on Owahu (sp?); and would like to know what island the rest of these places are on. He's currently on the Big Island of Hawaii; and reports that several pineapples have fallen victim to the voracious appetite of his #9; which did not shrink from contact with the acid flesh.

Hi Morgan,
I am pretty sure that Hanama Bay is on Owahu. Tell Andre to go to the front desk of his hotel and look for some of those tourist pamplets. He should be able to find what he needs there. If they dont have any pamplets tell him to ask the front desk. They should be able to help him out.
Please tell you Father that I say hello and that he is one lucky dog.

On the S.E. shore. Don't know the route. Too much to see for sure. Absolutely beautiful there.

Thanks guys for all your good wishes and advice.

Team BUSSE triumphant return from sun-baked Hawaii.

Well, we're back, sunburned, and lava cooked. Good time had by all (us and the Hawaiians). We came home with lighter bags since the requisite souveneirs were lighter than the knives that we sold.

Got to meet and chat for a while with Ken Onion - across from us, but down one table. Got reacquainted with several custom knife makers - George Gibo, Stan Fujisaka, and Tom Mayo (TNT Knives). I also met an up and coming knife maker named Carl Zakabi. George Gibo, Carl Zakabi, and Ken Onion all give credit to Stan Fujisaka for helping them get started, and teaching them skills of knife making. They refer to him as Sensei.

We met up with George on the Big Island, and then again once we were on O'ahu, where he was kind enough to show us around, drive us to the show, and generally show us what good Hawaiian hospitality is all about.
Thank you, George.

O'ahu should now be more visible from space, at night, from the nuclear knives left there by us. Hopefully, more to follow. Either from a soon-to-be local dealer, or when we can use the knife show for a good reason to return (like we need a good reason).

Mahalo and Aloha,

Did you get to use that new camera?
post some pics of that Busse cutting lava.

Glad to see had a good time.

First, this is Terry (wife) responding. Andre is in Tucson today/tonight/ well I guess it's really tommorrow, so I try to keep up on the 'net biz', of course, I'm not nearly as flamboyant of speech as Andre.

We LOVE that camera. Have shot about 200 pictures, but get lost somewhere in the computer-program-printer-output, and hope to straighten some of that out this weekend.

Seth and Andre took the brand new digital camera, and our camcorder with them to the volcano on the Big Island, and have shots of oozing red lava. We have some pics from the gun show, and started on shots of the BUSSE knife stash and stock at the house. Hope to get them up to the point where we can share soon.
