mee too - BADLY !!

Well, we just had the NMFBM. So either Jerry will be on a roll with the Big 'Uns, or he'll go small or medium next...

how much do you all speculate it would cost? I need to start saving....

I would sell my body on the street corner for it if necessary! I want it!!!!!

I didn't bother with the NMFBM, partly due to lack of funds and I like my standard FBM - it's just right for me.

But that kukri - OMG!!!!!!

Edited to add, before folks start to worry:

I would sell my body to amazingly fit women on the street corner! OK???

I never heard of a group custom shop buy other than military

but if we can pull this off....................

I have thought about the military group buy aspect but I suspect the cost of the Khukri will be "high" and would need to have an idea on this first. I reckon guys in certain Units might be up for it....but as a private purchase. Like anything....you probably need an example to show them...bit of a catch 22 there.

costs could be kept down by:

1. keeping the grind flat or convexed (NMFBM) with a v-edge
2. using mags instead of hand shaped
3. no rounding of the edges (NMFBM / NMSFNO style)
4. using hex bolts (this would enable those wanting to do aftermarket finishing - coating stripping and sanding it to a satin finish much easier.

If we base it on a NMFBM price point I think it would sell well. Scary thing is it will sell well at any price point but I think all hogs need one of these !!

Hey, guys... as far as I know, custom shop orders generally go for $ 100 per inch of knife. So a 20" overall length khukri could be $ 2000, or much more, considering how wide the blade is and how hard it would be to CNC. Not going to be anywhere near NMFBM prices unless Jerry starts a charity act. ;)

I agree for the most part. Actually, let's take that a step further...

CG:
- Limit the options on blade finish to 1... Competition finish...
- Convex Edge only

LE model would definitely be needed as well.
