Busse knife (abuse) video?

Has there ever been one?

One of my favorite things is to see everyone's pics and clips of their INFI being thrown, hammered, beaten and generally doing what they do best.

If another company (you know who) makes a video saying their knives are the toughest:rolleyes:, why not a Busse torture video?
 
There have been live demos done,
Jerry mentioned that he was going to put some videos on YouTube.com a while back. Give 'em about "two weeks" :D

it sure would be sweet to see some proper destruction videos! :thumbup:
 
I agree, there should be some videos showing the complete destruction of a Busse.
As far as the other company goes (C**D S***L). claims they are the best, well its all a bunch of BS.. The only good those blades are used for is target practice>>>:D

Tyrkon has posted several videos in which he does various tasks that could be considered abusive. Chopping, prying, throwing, cutting phone books, and my favorite smashing a patio paver with the pommel of a BATAC. I'm search challanged so no links but maybe I can figure it out and post them later.

Hey guys. Perhaps we could make a GIANT video thread here. There are a lot of people here with some great clips. Then people post only to add clips. Maybe no comments on the thread so it is just clips and doesn't get cluttered. Kind of like the "pics only" thread. :thumbup:

I knew you would drop by. I just spent 20 min figuring out the search function and was just getting ready to post about a dozen or so of your older threads with videos. I like your idea way better.

Great idea! I second the vote for an abuse video clip sticky.:thumbup:
 
There is an abundance of busse blades now. So anyone wanting to compare and destroy them does not have to search or wait. He can go to Busse, or the store or the exchange and there is always smething to be had. If they do not do it, it is not because they cannot, it is becase they do not want to compare.
 
Noss4 has stated that Busse promised to send him a BM as a donation to be tested on knifetest.com a couple of months ago.

If you have not watched the Noss4 videos before be aware that they are not for the faint hearted! However, if you would like to know if you can trust your knife to cut steal , brake concrete and survive hammering the spine with 3 lb Steel mallet go and watch the videos.

Dear Mr. Busse,
Could you publicly confirm that you will be sending the mistress to Noss4? If yes, would you be able to give as a concrete date? :)

Well, Busse has never said that anywhere else and he has never done that for anyone else including Cliff, so I seriously doubt that Noss would get one without paying for it. But who knows. I think if noss was going to get one he would have gotten one by now. There has been plenty of opportunity to do so.

IMO the potential benefits of a free publicity should well compensate for the cost of the knife. The tests done by Noss favor tough survival knifes, thus I see no reasons for the BM not to shine. But there is still risk as with any independent test…

Let’s hope for the best. In any case I hope that Busse will at least make a statement that he will not send the mistress, so at least we should not hold false hopes.

No, because he never made a statement that he would. He stated that he will sell to anyone regardless.
False hopes? I hold none. I would love to see noss destroy one, but he will have to pay like everyone else.

Why would anyone get one for free, when not even Cliff got one for free.:confused:

Besides unlike you, I have seen what these things can do and I also know that Cliff has destroyed most everything else that has gone through his yard, except for the BM. Granted I have not abused the recent stuff like I have the old stuff, but I have no reason to believe it has changed. My FBM user has taken some serious heat with no issues at all. And I have broken many other serious knives that you would think are very tough...doing the same things I do with my BM's.
 
Noss did not conduct tests. He just beat the crap out of knives until they broke. There was no measurement of data, no standard of conduct, no controls (as in a control subject for comparison), just subjective "it can take a lot" nonsense.

Even Cliff, for all his warts, was a better "tester".
