You know what? Jerry needs to make a Machete... A real machete. 24" to 28" blade... somewhere in between 1/8th" and 3/16ths" thick. 6" to 10" handle... something thin, wide, and long for serious work. What do you guys think?

You think INFI could take the pounding in such a think long blade? Perhaps another choice of steel like whatever SWKW or SYKO uses... which ever would be best for the tool. Something that can hit rocks by accident and not break and chip real deep. But I would love to see that... I'd be worth whatever Jerry wanted to charge for it.

This is not machete for you:confused:
It is not my Busse. :o

Holy cow!!! I'd have to start pumping some iron before I could wield that one handed, by the looks of it.

A thin one-handed machete designed for brush clearing work is something I've wanted ever since I found out about INFI. I think a 24" blade would be the longest I'd need but the minimum would have to be 18". No blade catches, no finger grooves, no recurve or pointy handles, just a practical design that could be comfortably used as a tool. I would be in for one, possibly two depending on price. And I'd be willing to sell off just about every other Busse I own to get one.

WOW...Wish I had one of those...;)
3" tree, 1 easy swing :)

and Jerry does make a blade with no finger grooves, no recurve or pointy handles..it's called a RUCK!

Awsome

i think he would have warranty issues, people would take out an awesome jungle brush cutter and start hitting cinder blocks, engine blocks and other things that knives, let alone machetes are not supposed to be cutting.

i would give cobalts left knut to have one but machete abusers would piss n whine when the rolled the edge or bent an 8th inch machete.

i for one would love to own a couple.... about 3/16th"

I agree that people would end up abusing the blade far beyond what its intention is and then complain. I think the answer is a special run from the Custom Shop. A limited run of 10 - 20 pieces should be able help to keep the cost under or around $2000. A 3/16" thick blade as wide as the FBM and 20" - 24" long would do nicely :D

Just look closely on the handle.

Looks like it is designed to be use with two hands! CHOP, CHOP :D

See now that's exactly why we don't get a machete! Skunk starts with his "about 3/16th" and then somebody else will say it has to be 1/4", and then of course, there has to be the 7/16th" LE version.....

But a Busse machete sure would be sweet!
