Busse MAchete????

There's the AK-47, Ruck, Dragon's Fang, and the Gladius

I think a machete would fit nicely in there.

I think we also need an INFI Claymore, but that might just be me :D

Well I am talking about something more flexible and longer. The AK47 is something I definitely I want but it is pretty pricey. Does it wok well as a Machete?

At Knob Creek they were $550 ish I think, so they're a little cheaper if you find them at shows.

I would buy one for $550 but a common man like myself couldn't make it to knob Creek and the Pig Pin at Blade is hard to fight through. Everyone at the trough is big and over weight.

Blade is a mad house, I'll give that one to you. I went to the RMJ booth because they had 3 people there, compared to the 60 at the Busse tabel (tabels, the big ass booth).

And if you go to Knob Creek on Friday or Saturday there's not a huge rush. My dad couldn't make the hotel show so he went on Friday and said they had several combat grade AK's left; along with some Wakis.

But that was the fall show which I couldn't go. I went last spring and they had 2 Wakis when I got there, but no AKs, I think it's mostly luck.

I really hope I'm reading this wrong, throwing out insults is not the way to get what you want.

Well, the AK47 is definitely longer, but even in a vise it's pretty tough to flex without a cheater bar. Slightly easier to flex than the B11, but not enough to notice. A ruck may be more what you are looking for though as the AK will wear you out pretty quick in machete type use.

I had an AK that was lightened up by Ban and it could slice a phone book in half in one chop, but it still was harder to use as a machete than my Basic 11. A thinner angle (what I did) or convex edge is all it takes to make a B11 slice through the greens/branches like butter. I trimmed all the trees in my front and back yard with it this summer and it surprised me how well it works. I never even thought about pulling out my cold steel machete to compare it since I was having too much fun with the B11.

funny guy. Don't quit your day job. :p

None of the Bussekin swords really function well in the machete role. They are too thick behind the edge to be effective on light vegetation. Machetes work by virtue of being THIN.

Instead of a Busse machete, I would like to see one from Scrapyard, 1/8" S7, 18" blade, Res C handle.:cool:

It's not really insulting to say someone is "overweight", it's not an insult, it's a descriptive term, not really an opinion. It's based on a generally accepted standard of what is a "normal" weight, and what if you visited a doctor would be considered overweight. Saying most of the trough is overweight might be generalizing a bit, but really, a lot of Hogs are a wee bit on the larger side. Not to say there's anything wrong with it, but it's just a fact. I don't care if someones 1000000000 lbs, but I'm not going to say a 1000000000 lb man is skinny for political correctness sake. Who cares either way? Everyone is so touchy.

You just have to know who to ask.:)
