I have been admiring Busse pieces for some time and I'm about ready to make the leap. Is this blade a good value? It seems like a fair price considering their used market.

This would be a regular carry blade and it would see usage, no safe queens in my collection.

any opinions?

thanks!

Dave

Nobody has one as they haven't been in production yet, but you can't go wrong ordering one or more.

My opinion is that if you don't buy 2, you'll wish you had. Seriously.

And welcome to the Forums, and especially to Busse! :D

personally I think they are very reasonably priced considering their size. They will certainly be a popular model as all the Mistress models seem to be. I have one on order now and will probably order a second before they are pulled from the store.

Too good a price to pass up in my opinion. Great blade to be starting out with.

welcome aboard, the busse knives are excellent knives, you will be glad that you bought one, especially being the first, many busse collectors/users have awaited the thinner version, and that is what this is, i like the thicker versions, but do plan to purchase one of these, depending on funds of course.

you will be a part of a family that you will thoroughly enjoy, the camaraderie is wonderful and is very much like a brotherhood and sisterhood!

In my eyes, the bushwacker is the most practical battle mistress design since the zt bm-e. Thin infi is the best infi!

Now if only they would offer it in a Bama clay blade coating....

I think buying anything new from Busse will yield a good value. The likelyhood of actual $$ depreciation is almost nonexistant, so if you wait for a used one you'll probably end up paying a bit more than you would now. Lots of folks like to mention just how expensive Busse's are, and I won't say they're cheap by any means, but look at the price of a similarly sized Bark River, Falkniven, Al Mar, or Strider and they start to look like a great value. The combat grade knives do give up a bit in fit/finish compared to some other brands, and you need to get a sheath seperately, but I think the performance and ergonomics offset those negatives handily.

When are we gonna find out what the big secret is? :D

...crap...I want one...I can't afford one right now...Does anybody know if they accept monthly payment plans?

IMO the price is very good for that blade.

I'd buy as many as you can afford. There's probably going to be a strong secondary market for these. It's also a very useful blade size/thickness.

Ever see Last of the Mohicans? Remember Magua's long knife? This is the INFI version of that.

Onl;y problem I see is the Bushwhacker Mistress doesn't come in Jungle Camo Waasup with that?

They don't charge your CC until 7-14 days before it ships and the wait is usually between 8-14 weeks.

Hmmm sounds like a neat idea, just have a personal rule don't bet what you don't have. I know I'm far from mister safe, but its one of those lessons you learn once and for good.

Liu Kang

Yeah, I suspected that I probably will not get the honors for starting that club.
