Busse on Dexter (Merged w/ "Busse in Dexter!!!!" & "Dexter shanks bad guy with SH")

If thats a grind line then its unlikely an nmsfno. The melt job on the first pic also looks a bit poor which makes me think the more rounded one is an illusion. Also, the top of the slabs remind me of the AA scales. Doesnt look machined or smooth handshaped. And man does that edge look THICK!!!!(safety first). Looks DCBB. Maybe its a knock off?

Boss please tell us what you think/know??

Those are some pretty sweet pictures you guys have gotten from the show. It's good to see Busse in use on the silver screen. I have to agree with you Eric, that handle does look a lot like an Argonne Assault handle.

Maybe the yet to be seen CA legal AALB with those scales?
The butt is reminiscent of Fusion or SF handles, but that grind line looks like a DSF.

there are several other knives with similar scales... maybe Jerry or someone from the shop will clue us in?

Hi,

I remember the Boss Jack in the premier from Season 6, then there was a TG in S6E07 and the NMSFNO in this Thread ;)

regards
Denis

The skullcrusher+handle scales do elude to the idea that it may be a CA legal (or knuckle-less variant) of the LBAA. Maybe this is one of the new items mentioned in the FaceBook giveaway message?

It's very likely a CS piece. Officially there may not be an answer, it may be a knife owned by the props department, a cinematic weapons supply company or a producers choice.

It is very unlikely to be a "new" item. The Avengers movie counters my claim, but in this television series I really think its a CS variant of an existing Busse.

And the tip is likely not a Busse at all, the magic of television, gotta love it.

Anyone that "officially knows" more about that knife used in the shooting range takedown of the assassin please correct my wrongs if possible.

I said the slabs, not handle, hmmmmmmm, you bein sneaky? ;)

That motivated me to look for this

both talons sure are pronounced, and the legal handle may explain the non choked up grip in the killer pic above

hey guys if there are any dexter fans out there, i was watching sunday's episode and he stabbed a hitman through the heart with what looks to me like some kind of steel heart...

it was season 7 episode 9, around 35 minutes...

can anyone confirm or disconfirm this sighting?

Nuclear meltdown cali legal argonne assault.
I'll take it. Ground but unsharpened spine, please. Stupid new jersey.

I should have known there would already be 2 pages of posts on this by the time I got here to search for it. So many like minded knife guys watch the same shows.

I think you're right. I don't know the Busse models well enough to tell which one it was, but I remember seeing that scene, and commenting that Dexter was using a Busse.

Bummer that they off'd Issac; he was a cool quasi-villain.

Eric G.

Well i hate to bring this back up, but Nancy and I have been watching Dexter from episode 1 for the last month, a couple shows a night, and tonight we just watched the knuckle-less AALB episode, awesome :)

Saw the Boss Jack and the TG (have seen that one a bunch in B-movies and TWD) but the AA was a surprise.

Awesome catch guys. The scales totally give it away.
