Busse or Mad Dog

...the only 'correct' answer is..."Both" lol :p

btw, the MDK 'Mini-Shrike' is on the way..."Woohoo!" :D

btw ptII, marklee, thanks for the MDK trades buddy, you're 'the man!' in my book!

While I haven't owned any Busse blades, I've had Mad Dogs and they're decent knives. Both brands seem to have their hard core fans that will extoll the virtues. I sold my Mad Dogs and bought Randalls - just fell out of love with the spartan tactical look. Buy what you like and enjoy.

If you get a MD, just make sure to X-ray it and make certain there is no "notch" in the tang.

And why is it MD vs Busse? Where does Strider fit in?

I got to handle a few busses at a recent show and wasn`t happy with the handles on it at all.The handles are good for those that have huge mits. The over all looks of the knife were not very nice.Bead blast finish and realy rough scales.....blisters?
Never seen or held a MD.

I have owned plenty of knives from both makers and for extreme performance - and most important - THE WARRANTY !! - make mine Busse.

There is no comparison, particularly when it comes to the warranty. INFI is also the best knife steel on the planet.

Not to say tyhat Mad Dog knives do not have their attributes based upon design and materials, I would definately go with BUSSE ofr hard use/abuse.

INFI is a really tough great blade steel and Busse Knives have a don't ask-don't tell warranty for evertything/anything except intention destruction. Busse Knives really are the ultimate in hard use fixed blades, IMO.
