Busse owners who own Swamp Rats too?

I purchased a Ratweiler during the Knob Creek Sale but sold it to a friend becuase I felt I had overspent. Let me tell you though, the couple of days I had it, that thing grew on me. I hated to let it go and now I want another. I also scored an INFI Coot, and that Resiprene handle doesn't want to be put down!

What's going on here? Is this part of the normal progression of being a HOG? Am I a traitor? Will I not go to "Hog Heaven" now for speaking of this? My Busse's aren't going anywhere but this is all so confusing

How many Busse owners here own Swamp Rats as well? Is the INFI so much better that the two cant co-exist? Any "Hard Core Hogs" who just wont hear of it?

No they cannot co-exist together my friend. It is a sad day, but you have been converted to a RAT. So you need to rid yourself of all Hogdom and sell out. You must post a sellout of INFI sale all items at half price and you must post it now. In fact email me your posting and I will peruse it to make sure all is right. In fact, I will buy some of those older hogs from you so you can get more RAT power. Ok:thumbup:

I have both, and like them all. (I do keep them separate, don`t want them fighting amongst themselves!)

The RATs are what led me to the HOGs. I play it smart, I use both and I'm not high-brow about it. Just like with all tools, there is a time to use the Really Good and less expensive ones and then there is the time to use the Really Great and more costly ones.

I have a half-decent piglet's collection of Busses, but my three most-used knives are a Rat Trap, an Active Duty, and a Battle Rat, in that order.

No need to worry 'bout us Rats - we only steal a few crumbs here and there. :p :D

Yep, I have to say it was the Rats that lead me to the Hogs. after spending a couple hundred on Rats, I figured I was already a lost cause, so what the hell! A few hundred more for INFI couldn't hurt.....right? So now I don't know what I am....... A Rat that sneaks into the Hog pen or a Hog that puts up with the Rats.....which ever one I am I am Fat and Happy:D

Rats bleed red, same as the Hogs.

High-end knife lovers can't help but appreciate high-end knives.

In other words...you have no choice but to at least recognize the value of the Swamp things.

To those of you Hogs who don't have any for whatever reason I would encourage you to give them a go....all the cool kids are doing it....;)

Heavy, AFAIK you don't have that much INFI yet, grab a few more pieces and you'll forget what cheese smells like.

I too was led to the Trough of Infi by a Rat.

For you Hogs that don't have a Swamprat yet, you don't need any. ;) You wouldn't want to be corrupted. Stay here at the trough where its safe and leave all those Rats to those of us that are already tainted. ;) :D

Heehee....shows what you know my Pigish friend....I may have only been here since March but I have already been dubbed HeavyHog.

NO REGRETS!!!

And by the Rats, you have been dubbed "Anchor". :D

I have to confess. I love my rats. Espec my BR. Gets a lot of carry time - my main trail clearing blade. And it does not seem to mind the Busse AD and BA3 that it works with.

I own both Busses and Rats. I guess that would make me a "HogRat". Like a previous poster mentioned, I was also led to the trough through the swamp.
The Rats and the Hogs seem to be getting along with each other.

Where's Bravado? I can't believe he hasn't pounced on this yet.

I may have a couple of swine blades laying around here, but I'm a rodent at heart. Sorry Jerry, but I just like hanging out with Jennifer more. She's easier on the wallet and the eyes. :D

Ok, here is my take on it.

These knives are for two different markets. Busse knives are directed more towards the high end market where supposedly you get the best of everything. they can whip-em-all, period.

The Rats are designed to go after the production market, where you have production knives that retail for $300 but can be purchased on sale for $150 anywhere. The Rats blast tat market fairly easily as they outperform all their competition by a wide margin and are not that far down the scale from the hogs.

I've got both, because when I get the itch to buy a cheaper knife as a user, I go with the Rats (and now Ranger knives as well) which outperform everything anywhere near their price range and usually outperform highends as well. I always buy hogs because they are awesome.

I have customs that I would trade for Rats, hows that! For example, I would trade my custom CPM3V knife in a second for a Rattweiler. I would trade it for a Ratdaddy as well. I would trade my custom ICC Bowie for one as well and it cost me much more than any Rat.
