Busse Pets Thread

Great looking Akita! I've always wanted to get one.

Thank you! Parents got one awhile back and I was really impressed so I took the dive. Now its just about waiting for him to grow so I can get him out in the woods! He's but stuck inside with all the snow lately.

Now i see him- dont heard about those before, but he is really cute :)

Regarding issues with pics., have you tried imgur.com ? works for me- recomanded by bladesforums.

They are a Japanese breed, believe they were originally bred to protect nobility/keep peasants in line and hunt bear. The more I read about them the more I liked. His parents were both around 100 lbs, I'm hoping he's even larger haha. Ill try that now, thanks.

Zan, that is a beautiful pup, and will grow into an outstanding larger dog. Akitas were also used for dog-fighting, as well as pets for nobility. They are BEAUTIFUL and powerful dogs!;):thumbup:

This is such an adorable Akita! I have loved Akitas since I was little, they're such loyal and lovable dogs. AND they look like fluffy little balls of fur when they are puppies.

Finally got him interested in some grown up stuff...:)

Jealous of that waki! This pic inspired me to catch my pooch while he was tired for pics…yes he's sleeping on the head of the hawk. Scared me for a second.

He just wants to keep the hawk safe! Great pictures. ragnerok, how big is your cat? He looks like he's pretty large in the picture with the Waki.

Several people told me I should watch "Hachi: a Dog's Tale" since its about an akita. Checked netflix and it was there so I watched it……Good flick but so sad.

He is not a big cat, pictures lies because of the way he is build (and this picture lies due to the angle in which it is taken); he is 5,5 kilos/11 pounds.

Clean little Maltese! One of the four small/ toy breeds I would consider owning. Their hair feels like silk! Proud Papa ;-)
