My brother made his way back from Australia and showed me his three knives he carried. His Ontario Machete, a D2 Kabar I gave him years ago and the Busse Skinny Ash I gave him. He is "hard on knives" in the way that he will "neglect" them by not keeping them clean. And I guess sometimes when you are out camping and on the water for long durations daily he didn't really have a chance. They spent 7 months in the saltwater environment on the water daily.

Here are the three:

He was telling me how he used this all the time and even hacked a bicycle wheel off with it (It has sawteeth on both sides now):

Next is the Kabar D2 that he told me he has not really used since I gave him the Busse. Basically just along and "exposed" to the elements:

The pics don't show it well but this thing has rust coming out everywhere:

Last but not least is the Bussy Skinny Ash that he loves. He started to tell me how he made a spear out of it and a a piece of wood and I cringed. I was happy when he told me he used the Busse to make a spear!

Anyhow, he loves this knife and said he put it through a lot of abuse. I really think both the sheath and the knife held up great to extensive "real world use"...you know...actually using a knife because you NEED to:D

Hope you all enjoy the user pics and feedback. I was impressed that the Busse came back with no rust and no real edge damage.

Looks like the Ash held up the best, That Infi is some good stuff. And Thanks for the pics and report.

Skinny ASH is an incredible blade for backpacking! Nice choice on hooking him up with it.

Gotta love those real-world tests. Thanks for letting us see.

Wow, got to say, I didn't expect that. But that's just great.

Great story... i beat the spit out my knives and i got a Busse Tankbuster a little while back....Only things I love better...my daughter and my girlfriend.

Ash definitely held up the best, but I'd be willing to be you'd find some nasty spots under those slabs.

looks like they all got used the way they were intended. Nice wear marks.
