Busse/Saltwater/No Care

Thanks for the comments. It is sharpened up and headed back out for another year of service until I give it another look.

Awesome! "Stainless" steel would rust way before infi would. Well the stainless knives I have do anyway.
 
Great post, thanks for sharing!! It's nice to hear the feedback and see the results of longer duration real world field usage. It reinforces why I am willing to spend the extra money for a Busse.:thumbup:

I wish they made that knife like the regular KaBar with a plain edge D2 blade. A good sharpening would take care of the rusty edge, but I bet it's ugly under the kraton. The hilt and finger guard on those are 1095 I think.

@$%!, for being along just for the ride the KA-BAR looks like pure hell. The whole edge is corroded... it's ... it's just bad, is the integrity of the KA-BAR damaged from it?
 
there should be no rust under the handle scales, unless he took the handles off, and stripped just under the handle slabs, then put them back on.
