Just an ordinary SJ CG here. Nothing to get too excited about, but I thought I'd share the love.

Does anyone else (besides me) think that the Satin Jack is the best, most useful, and prettiest of all the Busses?

The SatinJack CG gets more use than any other Busse I own. I thinned the edge a bit and it's one of my favorites for knocking around in the woods.

I wanted a 1/4" SJ, but then they went to 3/16" :( Time to go hang myself...0h, great pic by the way :D

Great Looking Pic.

I believe the SJ get's overshadowed by all it's larger Brothers and Sisters.

Definitely a great knife though :D:D

I do not own an SJ as yet, well, I did, an ZTSJ...but that went to a loving home somewheres...;)

Now, thx to you, I may have to get a CGSJ....oh well, I will not bother fighting it...:D

Nice knife!

Hi,
I have a CG Satin Jack w/Snakeskin scales.I havn't used for any tough cutting yet, just a few boxes and some food.I do like very much though.I carry this in my show bag.

very nice :D the SJ is VERY versatile. Try that puppy in a IWB sheath behind the hip of your strong hand. You'll be surprised at how easilly that long tall drink of INFI carries

I like it the best of the Busse line, too. It's a great knife. I don't see me ever needing a knife stronger than my SJ. Although, I do have a couple.....Used mine last night to cut up some elk meat for stew. Ummm, it was good. ;)

I love my SJ!! Good all arounder. Been hoping that Jerry would've posted some Desert SJ variants.:D

I think that the SJ is the Busse Knife that is one of the most beloved, but one of the least talked about.....I love my ZTSJ, great outdoors knife.....

Nice Pic!

At least..., they TOLD that they won't made any more Satin Jack knives, that Busse's company told me that making the knives are coming out right now (that was a couple weeks back).

I had asked a Satin Jack LE, in 3/16" or thinner. A couple weeks back, they told me that the LE knives are 1/4", that they were finishing the current set of knives now, and I could only have the 1/4".

I told them I'd just buy the CG knife, instead.., with comes in 3/16".

I should have my knife this week. It *sounds* that if you want a Satin Jack, you probably should buy it sooner than later.

The LE is 1/4"..? I thought all the newer SJ are made in 3/16".

Oh ya.. You should be shot for butchering the english language so bad!:D ;) :D

I'd be interested in finding out if the LE's are truly 1/4". I like the thicker steel. Anyone have the real lowdown on this?

BB? Jerry?

i ordered a sj le last week, i didn't think to ask if was 1/4 or 3/16. i just figured it would be 3/16 as that is what my other sj le was. the sj's i got at blade 02 were also all 3/16.

i got the le as i like shiny and they have a symmetrical edge, i wonder now what the thickness is:confused:

i hope it's 3/16 but i wouldn't be pissed if it was 1/4:cool:

Skunk,

If you happen to call the shop could you find out and post what it is? Perhaps Olga can ferret out the info.
