Busse Satin Jack CG

One of the knives I ordered today was in-fact a SJ LE. I asked the busse folks and was told the ones being made now are just over .2 in. (.21 something i think). Seems to be right in the middle of 3/16" and 1/4".

i got the le as i like shiny and they have a symmetrical edge, i wonder now what the thickness is:confused:

i hope it's 3/16 but i wouldn't be pissed if it was 1/4:cool:

I recently received a SJ LE and it's 3/16.

>The LE is 1/4"..? I thought all the newer SJ are made in 3/16".
Oh ya.. You should be shot for butchering the english language so bad!<

>I recently received a SJ LE and it's 3/16.<

Yeah..., it's true. I can't write english language well, these days. My stroke, 2 years back this month, did that :barf: On my other way, though, I still a decent money for not working at all  :p ;)

About the 3/16" vs. 1/4"..., this doesn't sense! I phoned with Kassi several times, the last time 2 weeks back. I REALLY wanted the LE, but she told me it's only in 1/4"..., so I backed off, and told her I'd just take the CG, 'cause I MUCH prefer 3/16" that 1/4", unless the blade is 9" or more. Yeah, I do have my old Battle Mistress, and it's 1/4", but I also like my OLDER Battle Mistress, when the blade doesn't be spear tipped, or /E.

Jeez, I told Kassi (I think her) this afternoon, and she would get my knife Tues. morning. I have to call her first thing, and talk her one more time that I REALLY want the LE, if it can be 3/16"!!!

I was informed that the Satin Jack LE were still 1/4". There is a good chance that I could be wrong. This is what happens when you don't check on something yourself and you have a man check for you. If Jerry doesn't post tonight I'll check myself tomorrow.

Kirk...sorry for the confusion. If I'm wrong than I do apologize!!!

I apologize Kirk. If I had known it was anything close to that I wouldn't have opened my big mouth :footinmou . I just figured you were like me- when I talk about something that excites me or am really interested in, sometimes my fingers cant keep up with my thoughts and I leave out words and such :D

But.. back to the topic.. I <3 THE SJ!

ok, this is one of the few times i'm going to say i'm wrong! the top two jacks are 3/16 and the bottom ones are 1/4. the satins and le's I have are 1/4. now.... i believe the question is...

if you were to lay a finger on the counter and whack it with a 3/16 then a new finger followed with a 1/4 which would take your fingy off.

well, i believe that would be like comparing being shot in the foot with a 45acp vrs. a 357mag.

over kill on both counts:p :p :p

mogmz,

>I apologize Kirk.<

Nothing about "apologize" ;) I had a undergrad of Newspaper, with a second of English..., then a Master of Science of Computer Science.., so I used to speak fairly well :p , but I was tired of all that, so I figured I might try a stroke:D

No, honestly, I did change, but I'm 49 and okay, and way better than some of other people I've seen..., and I don't worry much if I can hear or speak/write my dictionary was well as I used to!

As for the SJ, I agree with you.., I think that's a very nice knife, especially if I can see 3/16" :) It was around 1998-99 when I bought a Battle Mistress, a Steel Heart, and a Badger. I sold the Steel Heart and Badger 'cause I don't shorter knives in 1/4" (or spear blade).., but the 3/16" SJ looks excellent, and I like the LE significantly better than I like the CG.

Sounds that Kassi will help me in the morning....
