Busse Sheaths

I have the kydex version for my Basic 9. The retaining strap seems like it came into contact with the cutting edge of the blade while being drawn or put back in and is getting a little frayed. Is there a way to fix this?

What is the strap made of I may have something around the shop to help you out, all my basic's sheaths were the cordura ones before the Kydex Elves turned them into Buy Brown Kydex sheaths

Looks like nylon....not really sure, but it's like that stuff on backpack straps, just thicker.
