I'm the original owner of the knife and bought the sheath off of ebay (its not the greatest, but works well for putting the knife in a pack or your pocket and going on a hike).
This knife has been carried on one all-day hike and was used only to cut food (and mostly to show off). Its like new - the finish is starting to smooth out (just barely) along the spine where the kydex rubs against it.
