What John says about the batac is spot on, this is how I feel, it's a bit bulky for the blade length , I would say Sob or Rmd INFI either way you can loose, the rmd is a bit longer but it's finger choil makes it extremely nimble , the Sobs choil is a bit small for use but the blade and handle are very balanced , I have both and plan to keep bothI had a BATAC, have an SOB, and an INFI Ratmandu on the way. The BATAC feels great in hand but it's a big knife for the blade length (especially with its large choil). If you want a sturdy, indestructible knife without a real long blade, BATAC is it.
The SOB is not as hefty but still pretty big. I ordered one, liked it, but am sending it back for spacers.
The Ratmandu is an extremely popular knife. In INFI, it's gotta be a (maybe the) winner. Can't go wrong and very easy to sell if you don't like it.
I don't have a SOB but do a a few of the original run SHBA's and to me the RMD blows them away in hand.
Similar OAL but a little longer blade on the RMD.
RMD's rule.
On a side note this has me thinking that I should start another SHBA passaround soon.![]()
I suggest buying all three....but ONLY in the SAME color!!!
