Busse/Swamp Rat/Scrapyard at the INDY 1500 Show, March 14, 15, 16

Man, I sure wish I could be there Mike. I'm heading back to St. Louis tonight to continue the packing progress - the impending closing date is 3/27. I'll be back in town Sunday AM but just long enough to catch a flight Boston.

Have a great weekend. This will be the last one I miss for a while!

Mattie and I will be there Fri. Mike!

(Please don't try to sell me anymore empty boxes!!!) (Cold, man. Very cold!!!)

Can't wait to see ya!

You musta forgot to turn off your cloaking device bro.....

Old Painless, no pics. Promoter rules. Pic = ejection, and that is not a good thing...

I had at least 40 pieces on the table at the beginning....

Ouch!

Sorry I missed that one.

Yeah, had to get my boys for the weekend. (Had to switch due to the big snow storm last week.) Grrrrrrrr!

40 pieces must have been Pre-Hotrod, huh?

I was there Friday and Saturday. And just from those two days there was a noticeable difference between what was on the table.

Was fun to hang out with you for awhile Mike, and some of the guys that came by sure had some nice knives. Of course Chuck stole the show with his little thing lol.

Sorry I missed it Mike, I was down in St. Louis for a Catholic men's conference. Maybe next time around. Momma can take the kids to the museum while we hang out at the table.

DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here I am trying to make enough money to move up to HOG status and "1whobought it all" shows up!!! There's no justice;) Seriously though, hope it was a great show. Have to make some arrangements to pick up some INFI that my proxy has been getting for me:D
I'll be home next month for a week or so if there's any other shows make sure you post 'em Mike:cool:

Hey Bro-
I'm the guy who brought the used & abused bowie BM to show you in the last hour of the show. Just wanted you to know I'd made it over here...got a lot of lurking to do.

Welcome to the forum bro.

Very nice piece. Would have quite a few drooling all over the place.

With the timing of Blade, won't be back to Indy until the August show.

Be sure to ask if anythign gets too confusing around here. Lotsa good folks ready to help (of course ya gotta screen/filter out the hijinks...).

Ya'd have to step over my empty Glock & pry it from my CDF's! My Busses get used and I keep 'em.

About 9yrs ago (as thatmguy & I figured it), I worked my arse off behind the Busse booth at a couple shows for the friend that introduced me to Busse. At the end of the show, my friend was on the phone w/Jerry, turned to me & said, "You're supposed to pick anything off the table by way of thanks from me & Jerry." I snatched up the bowie Battle Mistress I'd been handling all weekend quicker than Ted Kennedy orders another round.

It never once occured to me to be nice to that knife (or any Busse). Twice, trees fell in my yard from storms & I used the BM to chop off every limb...great contact training, btw. I moved to Montana for a couple of years & chopped more firewood & ice than you might believe. It's been to deer & elk camp more than I have. It was still dirty from its last loan out to my roomie when I took it to the show. Another bro from the forums was there & it tickled him to see how it'd withstood the abuse.

My roomie is quite the sword guy. I'd known him for years before we began sharing a house, had no clue until about 2 months ago that he could swing a sword like he does...like jedi good at it. About 3 weeks ago, he got up the nerve to ask me if he could set up a wood post & actually strike/cut at it with my AK47. Collectors brace yourselves- I let him. After 30min he came back inside, cleaned the AK47 & said, "I can't thank you enough, I just learned more in a half hour than I have in years of training." If you have to ask if the AK is OK...you haven't really been paying attention to how Busse blades are made.

I also have a Mean Streets that was used to cut a literal ton of drywall when my bro & I rebuilt the business we used to own.

Anyway, anyway- sorry to be such an effusive newbie, but I believe in Busse 'cause I seriously use them. I might, just might, consider trading my MS when he comes out w/a Clinch Pick.

Re Pics: when I get a chance, I'll have my bro take pics & post them.

Great stories! We love to hear about Busse knives getting really used. Do some digging here, you'll find pics and video clips of all kinds of good fun.

and we anxously await your pics. ;)
