Busse TGLB Chopping

Wow!
That substantially better than I expected.
It was moving chips like a hawk or hatchet, even better than some.
Thanks for sharing the vid.

Nice video AL.
I'm guessin that was pine?
The TGLB'S handle great & the guard gives you more options on choking up/holding.
Thanks 4 sharin.

I personally don't use and am against using a lanyard to keep the knife from flying away from me if I loose my grip. When chopping with my TGLB I grasp the handle the same way a carpenter does a hammer. Thumb forward and use the end of the handle. Also...I have always had that feeling in the back of the cranium that if it were to come loose from my hand...the last thing I want is that razor edge flinging back and cutting my elbow or forearm. Plus....you don't see many carpenters or framers using a lanyard do ya? Not trying to offend...just tossing my useless 2 cent in. Great vid and wish I could post pics of my beat up TGLB.

Depends. I work on job sites ware we have to have a lanyard from the hammer to out pouches.

How about using the holes on top and bottom of the handle for the 'lanyard'?
Just like on an AK bayonet the cord will form a D guard secure the handle to your hand and not allow it to pivot around one point if it somehow manages to escape your grip.

I have thought of the d-guard but my sheath covers the guard holes so it's a no no. :)
I use the lanyard as precaution. You never know what happens if your hand gets tired. Also, it gives you more flex to the swing as you sort of rely on it.

And yeah, it was pine
