Busse Throwing Knives?

I don't know if this has been brought up before, but what about a set of Busse throwing knives?

I have really been getting into throwing knives lately, but the set I bought broke. I thought "you know, they should make throwing knives in a decent steel at least... or better yet... What if Busse were to make a set of throwing knives?!"

I know a lot of people that would be into that (I would buy at least 6 and get a custom 6 slot sheath made).

How many of you would buy such a thing if it were introduced?

I can see two designs, a standard throwing knife, and a torpedo style double ended thrower.

Damn... my knife collecting just ascended to a whole new level: Drooling over knives that don't exist :D

Heck, if this isnt feasable for production I am going to see about getting a set custom made

That would work :D

Though my only Busse is an NMFBM LE and I really dont want to throw that.

I was thinking of something weighted for throwing, with an OAL of about 12". Done with a double sided convex grind in satin finish. Finish that with a hi-visibility handle material so it is easily spotted in the bush. I want this to be a fully functional hunting tool.

Yeah, thats probably why I am not going to order them from Busse if I have to go the custom route.

Maybe theres a thrower in Busse's Future... maybe?

That looks like something straight off of Butcher Bill's belt in Gangs of New York.

I might have to get one. (damn you Rat Fink for your good taste)

Jerry made a great thrower not too long ago, the AK47! Check out the videos.

Bigger knives throw moderate distances more easily.

For close(6 to 10 feet) I like the Mean street.

For 12 to 18 feet I like the Original Satin Jack.

For 18 to 30 or so feet I like the SHSH and the SHBM.

This is all for single flip throws.(one half rotation)

Ergos throw more like Hatchets, and are more comfortable thrown by the handle for a flip and a half.(Full rotation)

I have not thrown any of the Fusion models yet.

For people used to standardized throwing knives, I would suggest either the SHSH or the older Satin Jacks, easier to get sets that way.

Better for skill building though to throw different knife lengths and weights from the same position.

Wheres Tyrk when you need him??

He has some great throwing vids as well.:thumbup::thumbup: Something he often does on a rainy day :)

.

SJ and HR are pefect.

agreed. the HR is the nicest thrower i've tried.
also, a BATAC without handle slabs works pretty decently
