It's nice to know that you could cut open a chain if you had to:

And let's please not get bogged down with the "OMG that's abuse, why would you ever do that, that's not realistic, etc" stuff. It's his knife, he did what he did, and didn't complain about the (slight) damage. I wouldn't have done that myself, but am glad someone else was willing to determine what the knife was capable of.

wow! i have never seen anything like that before.
the steel held up really well to the thick chain:thumbup:
this makes me want to get a busse and see what its all about,
too bad i don't have the $$$ for one :(

Yeah, why wasn't he trying to cut through a railroad rail? Everyone knows that the bad guys always tie you to a railroad track.

what happens when you try to cut a busse with another busse? end of the universe?

Some of us carry knives, while others carry hacksaws. My only question is your hacksaw carried open or IWB?:D

I found it interesting what happened to the steel with the chain. I have cut smaller chains...none that thick with little dents here an there but not to that degree. Those chains are pretty tough. I wonder how thick you could go without complete failue?

The guy is mad, chop your way through a chain like that with a knife its like digging a hole in a wood board with a toothpick, its gone break.

I love how Jerry LOVED that the guy chewed through a chain with his knife!

One day INFI steel will be mine!

Amazing stuff Mr. Busse!

Jerry actually mentions what he thinks happened, that the links got forced together with one of the blows and pinched out some of the steel. Seems pretty likely to me. I'll bet you could have batoned that blade through the chain with almost no damage :D

Jerry's gonna fix it under warranty. If he had broken the blade, Jerry would have replaced the knife.

IMO, this is why we will never see a Busse folder in production (although I have handled a prototype). How do you build a folder that will hold up to what people would do with it because of the Busse reputation? And I don't think that Jerry will ever make a product for which he has to weaken his warranty.
