busse wannabes

Hey, don't get me wrong; I like Busses. Good designs. Solid steel. Top-notch warranty. Made in America by someone who supports our troops. And I'm a "Hog" who was even inducted at Blade Show. But hell, if I were blacklisted from Busse and banned from Bladeforums today, I wouldn't act like the OP. If he's who I think he is, he's claimed several times that he'll be at Blade this year. That should be interesting. :p
 
I think there is money involved too. More people compete for the few Ganza knives, the less chance those who think they deserve monopoly just because whatever bizarre reason they can figure out will have.
 
It is hard to understand how someone could have so much hate develope over something said on the net.:confused:
Life is too damb short to waste it filled with hate.

I don't quite follow your point about monopolies, but I think money does have something to do with this thread. Busse knives aren't cheap, and when people put that much dinero into a knife or knives, it does affect how they associate with the brand. Some folks just take it too far and let it eat them up when they're cut off. Maybe the upcoming Ganza is what prompted this post by the OP. That's not to say he can't get some of the knives, but it is more difficult to participate in a Busse Extravaganza when you've been banned from BFC.

I think he means that Hog-Only Ganzas are held and some of the old Hogs got kinda pissed because of so many new Hogs being inducted. Since Ganzas run on a "whoever gets their email through first, once the "go" is given" basis, with more Hogs at the trough, so to speak, the less chance you have of scoring one of the blades offered (usually a very limited run of 100 to 300). Some guys like to buy a bunch so that if anyone else wants one, they have to come to them and pay hyperinflated prices to get one. It's a matter of ego as much as money, and a bunch of Hogs got banned this last Ganza, some due to threatening to slit some Mods' throats and such over competition for blades.

Some people's egos got the best of them, and as we see here, they weren't that mature to begin with.

ETA: even though I quoted Guyon, I know he knows most of this, but a lot of guys in this forum don't frequent the Busse forum, and don't know what started this trolling.

Wow, I had no idea about the politics of Busse, I have never heard of a "Ganza". Threatening to slit someones throat because they beat you to a knife you don't need, sounds like beanie babies for men. Chris

Just to clarify, most Ganzas are open to all. I can count the number of "HOG only" offerings I've seen on one hand.

BTW, I don't think this is an "old HOG" posting as kcrgr . This is an "old HOG" wannabe. The old HOGs are way too mellow, or way too drunk, to post something like this.
 
Well, I hope this banned troll and the drama does not give folk here the wrong impression of the Busse forum. Just as here on the WS&S forum, there is a strong sense of community on the Busse forum, and it's full of good people, people who go out of their way to help each other. We have a lot of fun there and it can get a little crazy sometime, but as Guyon said, it's just adults having fun (and a few mature teens). The very few noteable flame-outs were not really the product of the Busse community, but were guys who probably would get into trouble anywhere.
 
If you(or your 5 man posse) need to say anything to my face, you know were I'll be the week of Blade. Ken44 will be on my name tag.:)





edit- why did you bring this to this room??? There is a whine and cheese room, if you are who I think you are you know that.
