you would have to call and speak to someone in the shop.

they may replace or repair, depending on the amount of damage.

why dont they write it down, wouldn't that be easyer...

i suspect it is because no written warranty can cover every question. most warranty issues are determined on a case by case basis, though i have never heard of a customer who was unhappy with their service.

in general, a busse knife is covered for any and all damage. this has included "intentional" damage done to a knife in the past.

has there ever been a case you have herd of that someone bent their knife and returned it?

no. there was the broken skeleton key, i can't remember if it was replaced or the owner reprofiled it. iirc it was replaced.

i bent my oj warden prying, and just bent it back by prying the other way.

The warranty is the last line under the topic INFI on the Busse Combat site. "We guarantee against any and all unintentional MAJOR damage forever." Pete

heres my question. how do they know if the damage is done intentionally or not? many companies and makers says they will fix all damaged knives as long as is not done intentionally, in other words, abused. But how can they know? what if I just had it for a long time?

I think they will assume the damage was unintentional unless it's painfully obvious that it was not, for example if you can clearly see that the blade was cut in half by a torch or something. Even then, if it was cut in half accidentally I think they would replace it ;)

It was replaced. They even put a new edge on it and a penetrator tip (at my request.)

so the key broke its tip and was replaced so if my GW broke the tip like that they will replace it. even if i purposely pryed with it but didn't intend on braking it.

EDIT: Man the skeleys are nice looking knives!

Yep, as long as you were using and/or abusing the knife when it broke they'll take care of you

I bent my GW LE (.140 flat grind) prying, bent it back, you could probably bend a SK, and now looks like maybe the Cultellus.

Yeah, I use my EDC for a step when necessary :D

I no longer pry with any flat ground < .170, actually I don't carry anything thinner for my sharpened pry bar if there is a chance I'll be prying. The >.22 Wardens are cool :D:cool::thumbup:

I don't think you can bend a Busse with out a significant mechanical advantage. (not a challenge), love to see someone bend a FBM . There's just not enough leverage without a long cheater bar.

...... with Jerry's 'bullet proof' ;):D warranty, it makes all that moot !!

Just use it !

OK, spill the beans. What did you do?!?!?

I have yet to hear of a problem that couldn't be fixed. The crew at Busse Combat go above and beyond to maintain their reputation and more importantly- customer satisfaction. Unless you've broken the knife just to get another one, you'll be fine!

So, WHAT DID YOU DO????

It's pretty clear:
With a steel like INFI it's easy to understand why we offer the toughest guarantee in the business. We guarantee against any and all unintentional MAJOR damage forever.
