Does anyone have a link to, or know the Busse warranty? I looked on the website but I could not find it.

If you unintentionally break the knife. They take care of it.

I didn't feel like searching for exact quotes.

Jerry Busses response about a ASH that was used to chop through a chain.:cool::thumbup:

"And know that your Busse knife is always covered, unless you intentionally destroy it and I don't think that you can call what happened to your knife "intentional destruction". . . . maybe "tough love gone awry", but that's what Busse blades are all about. . . . If you don't abuse them, they may very well run away under the cover of darkness, in search of a more abusive home!!!"

I think that about says it all.

I wonder lets say I break the ash I intend to buy, beyond repair, How would they take care of it? They are no longer in production

They would have you sent the broken one in and send you a brand new one. Busse probably has blanks of the ASH, or they make you a new one, dont worry, you are covered.

EDIT: How do you intend on break an ASH?

I've noticed you asking this question a lot, it almost sounds like you WANT to break it.

Intentionally destroying a knife is very different from using it so hard that it ends up breaking....

Just sayin'

If they don't have the same knife anymore they will give you a credit for the original cost of the knife which you can then use to purchase another model.

And had anyone accidentaly break his Busse? Even Noss in his destruction test had extreme difficulties to break it. Except if it just "fall" accidentally under a sledgehammer, i've never heard of a broken Busse.

Inquiring as to the integrity of a knife and the company that makes it has nothing to do with wanting to break it.

I am honestly upset that you would post this.

all others except for MustardMan thanks for the info

The integrity of this company and their blades is beyond compare. I've read multiple instances of Jerry replacing blades after people subjected them to such gross abuse as chopping up a chain, cutting through a SUV, or hammering a blade into a concrete block and then kicking it.

There's no reason to ask the question 5 or 6 times - anyone here will make it abundantly clear that the Busse track record on customer service and honoring an industry-defining warranty is unmatched.

I dont know where the actual warranty is written, and to tell you the truth I dont know if I've ever seen a written copy.

Busse knives are made to be hard use knives, with an emphasis on hard use. What I do know is if any damage ever happens to any of my Busse knives it will be taken care of. No matter what, no matter how hard I used them. They aren't kidding when they say Busse has the best warranty in the business.

I'm assuming you are an "I want to see the warranty on the side of the box" type of person. Stick around for awhile and you will see and understand why most of us aren't.

I know that the cost of owning a Busse or multiple Busse knives can be intimidating for the un-initiated. It really is worth it. Good luck on your research and I hope you decide to join the Busse BandWagon.

Best regards,

Les.

"With a steel like INFI it's easy to understand why we offer the toughest guarantee in the business. We guarantee against any and all unintentional MAJOR damage forever.

Jerry Busse"

From the bottom of THIS page:

ATS-34...The new super steel...

I wonder how those compared to INFI.

Do you thick that using a busse knife as a thrower is abuse?

Nope. Lots of people on here throw their Busses.

Seriously...I read in a post once that you'd have to cut it in half with an acetylene torch to void the warranty...and that even then you might get it covered. The point is that Jerry will cover any reasonable use of his knives. Now, if you're TRYING to break it, then he has the right to say no, but if you stab it through a car door (like he has done) in order to pry the door off and save a crash victim...it's covered.

EDIT: How do you intend on break an ASH?

Yes... Expand on this...

"Of course, I can get a hell of a good look at a T-Bone steak by sticking my head up a bull's a$$, but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it."

"Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I've got spare time....Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of sh&#!"

"...But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me."

Busses are the best hard use knifes made period and they are backed by the best Warranty in the Industry, if you break it they will fix it or replace it.

If you break one then you really did something because they are VERY tough knives.

They are NOT easy to break, just ask Noss. LOL

Noss's favorite hard use knife is his CG FBM, it's posted on his forum.
