BusseCollector Make Over Done!

Nice site, will add it to the list,

Here is the main site that has had all the main lines of Busse knives:

http://homepage.mac.com/zombiekiller/badmojo/bm.html

this one has tons of old pics in it from some really great knives from people no longer around.

My site is designed to compliment the mojo site, mainly to display a on-line historical catalong with a current knife list. I've corresponded with the owner / creator of the BadMojo site and we are both in agreement that a current catalog of Busse knives would be a great feature to add to the existing Busse community. For more on this subject please look at the original introductory thread for the BusseCollector site, where we discussed this in more detail.

Also the Mojo site is linked to and referenced numerous times from my site and he plans to add a link to my site as well.

Thanks for your interest!

Talk about a labor of love, that seems like a whole lot of work!

One thing to add: my SFNO measures in at .275" thick. I don't see a category for that one there. I found another use for it this weekend too. chopping 1/2" pvc pipe for some low pressure irrigation I put in. goes through so clean I imagine it'd work on 1" or even larger as well. and it beats the heck out of sawing or scoring the stuff!!

Oh, some minor corrections on SHBM's and FBM's.

SHBM - The thickness on mine varies from 0.255 to 0.29, none are less than that. BLADE LENGTH is a solid 10.25 inches, which is the same as the FBM. The FBM does have much more handle length though so the OAL is less than the FBM as you noted.

The CGFBM is approx. 0.225 inches thick and with coating it measures 0.245. I have measured a few of mine including bare ones. Blade length is 10.125 to 10.25 inch

The FBMLE is a solid 0.315 to 0.320, I havem easured several. Length is same as FBM

The BM-E is 9.75 inches in blade length. Thickness of mine is 0.23 for one and 0.255 for the other. With coatings. SoI would guess that bth are well under 0.25 inches.

hope this helps. The older knives do vary a lot more than the current crop. Especially lengthwise. My SHBM's all vary by 1/4 inch, but the median is about 10.125

You have a skinny CGFBM mine is a whopping .007 thicker with the coating:D It comes in at .252. And my SHBM is .265...so it is somewhere in the middle there.

Actually, what I've posted is the "advertised" specifications. YMMV :D however if most of you are in agreement with a spec change, just email the update to me and I'll make it into LAW.

Thanks!

Yes, but take off 0.01 on each side for coating and you end up with much less than .25 inch. Your SHBM is definitely in the middle to thicker side. But the Blade length of the SHBM is on average the same as the FBM and both are longer than the BM-E. I think that the Zero Tolerance BM-E might be bigger than the STD BM-E as well, but I have not cheked yet.
