Busses and Guns

That Ak is a super pig popper, puts them down quick. Its been my go to rifle for a few years now, its accurate, light and real quick in brush. If your looking at gear you can't hardly beat HSGI and Tactical Tailor.

My first thought on the Glock is a first generation Glock 17. Like, one of the first Glock generations ever offered in the US. Or even elsewhere.
.... yep smooth grip and "CC" prefix serial number put it back in the 80s. My first Glock was a little older (BN prefix) and was made before Glock added the serial number plate to the frame to meet the US import requirements.

Found an old pic of some 1911s. Have added a few since then but thought I would contribute. I know there are no blades in the pic but I had one in my pocket when I took the pic so that should count.

Wow! THAT is and old one! The giveaway on this one for me was the total lack of what I believe was the first change to the G17: adding that square-type grenade stippling, or whatever, to the front and backstraps. That one looks completely smooth... well, as smooth as the sides. The grips have really come a long way. I like the newest pyramid-type texture. More than I thought I would.

Here is one of my edc rotation pairs.

Holy SHISA! THAT's an EDC pair?!

Note to self: never, EVER, cross Garth!

Garth, my man, WHERE do you carry that 500 exactly? It's freaking amazing... I just need as many chances to stop the bad guys as I can get. Thus the g26 with full sized, sometimes 33 round fun sticks.....

Thanks. Just curious.

ETA: my 26 rides with a factory g26 magazine with +2 footplate, and my spares are factory g17 mags. The 33rounders sit in my..... Trunk bag.

Could you give those of us who would LIKE to be that well out loaded a bit of insight as to what's there and why? I need some serious help here.......

I sent you a rather long Pm with lots of details probably more than you want. What I intended when I put this rig together was a very versatile setup. I don't want to have to mess with changing out mag pouches, so HSGI taco pouches, they hold any mag for rifle and any pistol mags for pistols. Tough and very well made. HSGI belt because cheap ones suck and move around on your body when you run, not a fan of holding my belt up like my pants are falling off. I use a simple molle mount for knives, its called a Ka-bar adapter, it has the molle straps and 2 pieces of velcro that go through the sheath loop. Any knife sheath fits it. A med/pouch aka junk pouch with the usual kind of emergency med gear. Drop pouch that I can drop empties in when i'm in a hurry. Tactical tailor split front chest right with a added full back piece for hanging a hydration pouch or the really nice tactical tailor quick release pack. Not a big fan of squirming into a full chest rig like a turtleneck sweater. HSGI pouches again, a mil spec monkey pouch for patches because u gotta have patches and get my geek on. Holds earplugs and paper work well too. Good gloves because i don't wanna tear up my girly hands, The vest also fits right over a slick plate carrier, which I never want to wear because its freaking heavy and i'm old. Oh yeah and I use IMI pistol holsters, the all fit the same back plate for molle/paddle/dropleg and change with one allen screw. Yeah and drop leg rigs suck to run in so don't do that. Really I could get bye just fine with my old Alice gear but its not nearly as cool as the new stuff lol.

It's a bit on the hefty side when you add body armor, mags and water and some stuff in the pack. As I age I enjoy humping that weight less fun.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I found some 2.9lb large (2.5 for med)lvl 3+ multi hit multi curve plates that would help you with weight. And they float.

I've seen those Adian, they look like they will work really well. If I actually had a need for body armor other than to have it I'd probably pony up the money for a set. As is i'd rather spend the money on knives, guns, training and fun.
