So I am bummed right now. I had to put stuff in storage about five days ago because we are moving to a new house soon (it's being built). some of those things were five of my Busses.....I just got a call from my storage unit place a couple of hours ago, that it had been broken into. I go down there, and yup, the knives (not to mention two early 70s telecasters and a Jaguar, etc) were gone......

The worst thing is that they won't even know what they have in those knives....

Oh, forgot to list them:

SH-E, BM-E, NO-E, BA-E and my AS.....
Ironically I was asking Marc at Busse about having some customes of the above blades made.....

Anyway, thanks for listening.....

Bummed in Austin,

:( W

That is a real bummer. I am sorry your stuff got stolen. Hope it gets found and things go better for you. Good luck.

Wilco,
I'm sorry to hear this, you might want to notify the local pawn shops and send them pictures of the knives. They will probably try to turn them into some cash and maybe you'll get a lead.

Good luck

:(:(

Sorry to hear about the loss of your stuff Wilco. I hate people that would rather steal stuff instead of work to earn it. Good luck in your recovery efforts.

That sucks big time....

I would down load pictures and hit Doc Holidays and the rest of the pawn shops in town.
Also give pictures to the cops.

Make sure you hit all the music and Guitar shops for your instruments.
Keep an eye on ebay....

Good luck...did you have insurance?

I'm sorry to hear this too, Wilco. Hopefully, they will be caught
and maybe get some of your stuff back.

Had insurance on the guitars, plus the Monitor Audio speakers (sniff sniff) that were stolen, but not the Busse's.....I'm still in a state of shock, and am really really pissed off and annoyed at humanity. I hate thieves. I had to work for it, so can they......

I also had about 600 cd's stolen......

I go file the police report in about 45 minutes, and then take/fax pics to pawn shops in San Antonio (already done to most in Austin), where alot of thieves take stolen goods from Austin.....

Hopefully they were not in sheaths. Then, maybe when they put their hands in the box they will get a taste of INFI drawing blood....That really sucks.

Hey Wilco,
Wouldn't the storage shop be at least partially responsible for your stuff? Just a thought. I'm really sorry you lost so much. I hope PD can find some leads.

Best Regards
Scott

Thanks for the posts and emails guys. I wanted to say that Busse Combat is the best knife company in the world. I come home from doing all my crap, and who is on my answering machine? Jerry. He called to offer any help he could and to tell me he was sorry it had happened.

Very cool.......just another reason why I am a patron of this company.

Those scum of the earth no good SOBs. May they rot in hell. Nothing worse than a thief. Eric read my mind. I would hit the pawn shops within a 10 mile radius. Wilco, if you need it, I have another BA-E you can use for what it's worth. I hope they catch the sh!t bags.

That sucks :grumpy: :grumpy:

I hope they catch those SOB's

Busses are not all that common....if you advertise them (as was suggested above), they might just turn up. Good luck.

That sucks! Sorry to hear that. Now you know why Jerry
made swords, off with their heads!!!

Wilco, sorry that happened. Thieves really piss me off

Some gunshops handle knives as well, get the pics to them. I hope the coppers catch the rats for you.

First, Wilco, I'm sorry to hear about the theft.

Second, it sounds suspicious to me that the storage company did not have security video cameras installed on the premises which could have identified suspects. Prices have come down drastically for these cameras in recent years--there's very little legitimate excuse for these companies not to have them installed inside, as well as, outside the building. (I'm not trying to accuse anyone, it's just that it seems like there was an unnecessary, opportunistic condition for the perps to carry out their s**t work). Further, are visitors/customers of the facility required to sign a log before entering the storage area? This might be another source of possible suspects.

Third, it's been a costly lesson at your expense, Wilco, but I hope it serves to help others here make due diligence evaluations of storage companies before putting anything of value in that company's trust. Check out their security procedures and installed equipment. (Trust no one).

Finally, I can't hold it back anymore--they're scumbags!

No good rotten pieces of $h!T!

Check your home owners/renters insurance policy or call your agent. You may have some general coverage.
