In the world of contemporary knife making, over the last forty years, three makers Buster Warenski, Bill Moran and Bob Lovelass have earned the legendary status enjoyed by their predecessors such as Bo Randall, Bill Scagel and Rudy Ruana. Sadly these gifted and acclaimed knife artisans have all passed on leaving a legacy of excellence in steel.
In 1976 Buster Warenski made a series of 5 miniature knives he called his Classic .5 Series. Each of these miniature gems is a perfect 1/2 scale renditions of a historically significant knife design. No two designs were alike and, like all of Buster's work, each one of Warenski's Classic .5 Series is a one of a kind masterpieces. This offering is a Warenski Classic .5 miniature of an American made, iconic Coffin Handle Bowie crafted by James Black of Arkansas, maker of Jim Bowie's famous fighting knife.
