Buster Warenski

:(

Our sorrow, prayers and condolences go out to his family.

RIP Buster!

I'm ashamed to say I don't know that much about the man, just visited his site and he made some very pretty knives. From what I can ascertain here, he was a great guy too. My condolences to his family and friends.

Sorry to hear the sad news, I met and spent a little time with both Julie and Buster several years ago in Arkansas at an ABS school and talked with them at some of the shows since then, they were very nice people and so talented. He will be missed. Dwayne

What a sad loss.

Buster was an exceptionally talented knifemaker and artist, and by all accounts a genuinely good man. My sincerest condolences to his family.

As sad as this is, it is comforting to know that some of his inspiration and artistry can continue on through Julie. May she and his loved ones find comfort in that...

That is a terrible loss to me. I have followed his work for many years.

Our prayers are out to his loved ones.

A huge loss to the craft. Buster was a true artisan. The silver and gold, the cloisonne, the enamelling, the lapidary, the engraving, the carving, the grinding, precious metal sheaths and fittings, precious stones for handles. This is what custom knifemaking is all about. The skills. Buster excelled in all areas. Thoose of us who carry on this torch can only aspire to a fraction of the skill this man possesed. D

A great loss to the knife community-a great human being, as well as a great maker.

My condolences to the family.

Sad news indeed, a great loss to the knife community, and even more so to his family and friends. My sincere condolences.

I apologize for getting off topic here, but Jerry-

Buster taught me how to make silver sheaths and I really enjoyed being around him.
I believe one of my teachers also mentioned helping you with metal sheaths once. Richard Mawdsley of SUI Carbondale.

I only knew Buster for the last 3-4 years because of my business relationship with Julie.

However, in this short time, I can say that I felt that I was in the presence of a great man.

He will be missed by all who knew him but more by those who never had the chance to know such a person.

My sincere condolences to Julie and the rest of the family.

Ever since hearing about the King Tut dagger I've been intrigued, hoping one day I'd be lucky enough to ever see it.. not so far. A great artist and knifemaker. Sad news to hear. My condolences to his family.

Buster was the best. He was a true artist, in a class by himself.
We will miss him as a member of the AKI.
Our thoughts and prayers to Julie and the family.

I have lost a friend of more than thrity years. He was so young and now he is gone.Julie knows how Goldie and I feel. I can never forget many years ago how Buster and I talked daily supporting each other when we both suffered from bad depression. God love him, he was a great friend.
