butchering a sgt khadka

Spent A couple of hours sanding the new micarta handle that Gunknifenut and I
had put on my Sgt.Khadka cak today. Used boiled linseed oil on the handle which brought out a beautiful golden color and some darker brown. This is one comfortable handle and functional, A great bushcraft khukri. I can't wait to chop away with it next weekend. This is one khuk that I will treasure forever. "Til Death do us part!

WOW! That really came out nicely!
The color you wound up with is full of buttery goodness.

Thanks for all the great responses! A ton of the credit goes to Gunknifenut for kicking me in the rear to start this project. You guys wouldn't be disappointed in doing the same thing, It just feels bulletproof! I'm sure Gene would like to rehandle all your khukri's for FREE!!!!:D:D:D:D Just kidding, I know I will pay for that comment!

Thanks bud...looks like I need to test that kuk out sooner than later.

It does indeed look great!! Can I ask how you get the tube pins flared snug? I want to use them on my M43... but I'm a bit stuck figuring that one out.

Since I'm about to be tied up finishing up a home purchase (and all the junk that goes with it and a move across town) would you maybe be interested in rehandling another M43? What would you charge for such service (you can email me the info if you'd like)?

Thanks!

I made it over to Wes's house for a minute tonight..I really like the feel of this one after he sanded the heck outta it! I am glad he did all of the grunt work...that does seem below me anyways.:p

I am NOT rehandling my Murali 15" Bonecutter..instead, I am working on an old friend, a 22" Super CAK by Kumar. It has MANY hard miles..and deserves new life...by the way...its a BEAST!
