Is it possible to affixe an elk tooth (ivory) to the but blate or just the end of an elk antler???for a post type blade????

Yes.
Please explain in more detail what you mean by a post type blade?(hidden tang?)
Teeth can be mounted just like they were in the elk. Use a Dremmel tool to cut out the tooth socket in the handle until the tooth fits like it did in the jaw. Set with epoxy or JB weld. The roots can be cut down some to make this easier.

Thanks for the info. I thought you could do it but wasn't sure about the handle integrity. I have two ivory(teeth) and will be mounting them one for my dad and one for my brother on the end of the elk horn handle...thanks
