Butterfly Knife Laws

Does anyone know of any laws concerning the carrying of 'butterfly knives' or 'balisongs' in Iowa? I know it is illegal in some states to carry them (outside) and in a few even to own them.

Theres a knife law site (search for it) which i have bookmarked... other than the usual auto knife stuff they only mention that carrying knives with blades > 5' is a aggravated misdeamenor. >8' is a serious misdemeanor. Makes no mention of butter knives buy i'd imagine checking with local ordinances would be important, since they tend to dabble in these pesty laws if the states dont...
