Is that a Kleen Kanteen inside the 10x4 water carrier? Just curious.

Yes. Actually it is a Kleen Kanteen inside of a SS cup that is lined with a bandana. My Nalgene guyot has not yet arrived

Sorry just read the post again and missed the "large" bit sorry.
Anyway the one I show is a good little unit for essentials other than water.

I second the stashsafe as a great small waistpack, especially for its security features such as wire reinforced belt and wire lockable zippers. Only complaint I have is that the belt strap is a little too narrow for my expanding beergut

For a more common large waistpack, I recommend the Mountainsmith Day with strappetes. Other brands like North Face are also okay, but I noticed with all of them, above 600 cc, they'll sag when full of stuff. At that point, if I had to do it over again, I would go with a good daypack like the LL Bean Bigelow pack.

Ultraman - I like the look of the Bigelow pack ... being into ultra light challenges, I'm constantly looking at alternatives and it looks snug.
