So I thought I would throw this out there to see if there is any interest…..

Considering liquidating my current GEC collection in favor of/towards treating myself to my first Rolex for my upcoming 40th birthday. So below is a list of my entire GEC collection at present. I count 45 knives, 15 of them in 440c stainless, the rest carbon 1095 steel, mixed between Tidioute and Northfield, and all in original tubes. Ranging in years from 2007 up to the present. Most in new or pretty close condition, though all have been handled and admired from time to time, picking up the odd swirl. I never promise any of these knives to be mint, because they don’t even seem to come that way. But really, of these, probably less than 6 have seen any real use or carry, and there are two among those 6 (a #35 and an #81 indicated below) that have had some minor RIT dying done. So I am going to ask for a nice even $4,500 for the lot, which works out to $100 a piece, which seems pretty fair to me. Many of them I figure I could get much more for, others I am sure would fetch considerably less, were I to take the time to sell each off individually. I am quite sure I spent more than this to acquire them over the last 10 years. But then there is the bother of individual listings, photographing and boxing up each one, etc., and I figure it all works out in a wash.

So any big spenders out there want to help me in my quest? Or just wanna wish me a happy 40th? If so, send me a PM or leave your email addy to work out a deal.
No offers on individual knives please, this is obviously not a piecemeal sale.
If you are seriously considering purchasing the set, and would like to see photos of all or a few select knives, I am happy to accommodate to close the sale of the whole set, but please don't just ask for pics of or make offers on a single knife. Defeats the purpose here. If I cannot make the big sale, then I don’t really plan on selling any at the moment. I suppose I would entertain Rolex trade offers, given my stated goal, but finding a match there is probably a long shot. Heck, I know the whole idea of getting someone to spend $4.5K on pocket knives on a Friday afternoon is a long shot. But then I thought about it, and the fact that some people spend thousands on a single knife in the world of handmade customs, and figured its worth a shot. And if someone actually takes the leap, I am sure I can find a few extra goodies to send along as a thank you. Anyway, have a look at the list, I think you'll find there are some awesome and rare pieces in there. Thanks for looking!

So, if I got this right, you sell them separately too or only the whole collection in one peace?

And all the best wishes for your birthday!

I know its a long post. Please read it though, individual knives are not for sale. I've added some bolds and underlining for clarity. It is a collection sale. If I ever decide to sell them individually, knives will be pictured and priced individually per forum rules.
If some one else wants to buy them and sell them off one at a time, good on you. I would think you will probably make money. I just don't have the time or interest in that. Plus, I can just imagine my going to take pics of each one, and saying, "Oh not this one, I really love this one," as to each as I come to it, and then none of them gets sold. Somehow I find the thought of a clean break as more do-able. Get a giant box of GECs in the mail. You'll feel like a dealer!

And I decided to drop the price 500 to $4,500 so it works out to $100 a piece, per knife, exactly. I like round numbers. So an even better deal now!

Thanks for the many birthday wishes here and through PMs!
