I normally don't get involved with stuff like this, but two things I can't stand are a lier and a cheat. Mods please forgive me if this starts some cross forum bs but I think potential buyers need to be warned. I believe in honest and fair dealings and will expose anyone who doesn't abide by that at any cost. Now BF members, you read the threads and decide for yourselves!!!

Well I don't think he posted the harrier here, but he does lie about his location. Plus the whole deal with the hinderer. Just not someone I would want to deal with, and I would expect others would feel the same way.

Well I stand to be corrected... I wonder why it was $5500 on the JD and $5000 here?? This dude is all over the place!

He apparently sold a quite valuable Horton on another forum (according to his thread here), this guy either has one hell of a collection or is an obvious scam artist.

Well he does apparently have a nice collection but some of things he's said are misleading and contradictory to some of the facts.

Looks to me like a clear cut case of caveat emptor. I would hope that anyone who is contemplating buying a $5K folder would do some homework on it first.

This guy sounds like a used car salesman with all his excessive usage of exclamation marks. Even if he wasn't a scammer he makes himself come off as one.

In many states in the US if not all, committing fraud of some kind with an item at the $5K level can be considered a federal offense. It can land a person in prison and/or include a hefty find of several thousand dollars.

He has an expensive knife for trade right now on the forum. I called him out for calling names (he said something to the effect that anyone who didn't think his knife was worth 3800 bucks was a knob) and he subsequently changed his post, and I changed mine. He is trading a Burch, I believe.

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-one-off-flipper-for-Ochs-sherworx-OR-Marlowe link to his trade thread. i think something fishy is going on with this guy. if anyone does any trading or buys a knife from him, i would make him ship first. if he has a problem sending first i would pass him up.
maybe an ip check is in order too. remember the kid from california that was living with his grandmother and she had to make him send all the knives back he stole by not sending his knife in trade?

Apparently, on the forum linked in OP, this individual (JPinc) was stating his location to be in the US. An IP check by Admin there revealed JPinc to be in Australia. Just something else to keep in mind if/when choosing to deal with this individual.

did anyone read what he has in his locatioin over on jd? :D

That's exactly why I posted this thread. Some of my information may be wrong but I was looking out for the knife community as a whole. Besides if your selling any knife, especially a $5000 custom, your facts should be strait first. I've found multiple threads where he stands to be corrected because of false info and even one where his communication just went to 0 for at least 4 days after someone made a payment on a knife. I don't have any personal issues with this guy, just don't like a lier or a theif, plain and simple!!

Why don't these scam artists stick to ebay? His text-like language reminded me of an adult pretending to be a teenager. Who happens to own lots of $5000 knives.
