I had bought two world war 2 wehrmacht issue k98 bayonets with proofmarks from sportsmans guide. They were listed in used in very good condition. Well the two I received were in bad condition. There was too much wrong to list all the problems. One blade was literally bent, had cracks all over the handle, pieces of the handle were missing. no blade tip, pices of the blade missing (big chunks of the edge were gone. The screws that held the handles oon both were completely rusted out, could barely tell a screw held the handles on. Now both bayonets had very similar problems. One good thing though is even though the scabbards didnt match the knives (production year) they looked to be never issued, all blueing on them was intact, not dented, ect. Now they were used so some damage is to be expected, but it was much worse than what was advertised. At only 39.00 it was a bargain, but not for what I actually received. This is the third time Ive ordered things from them that were not what they said (condition). I think ive leanred my lesson, I hope. Either way they will be receiving those back!

so buyer beware if you see them and are interested, if you do and you dont care then you get what you pay for!!!

hope this helps somone else before they have the same heartache!!!!

Is this the place that sells alot of 30 - 40 year old german and russian surplus clothing?

You couldn't return them?

I've gotten a lot of good deals from them, but I won't buy old or "experienced" stuff. Warehouses encourage mildew. "Nuff said.

I have a ton of stuff fromt he Sportsmans Guide but have to say that their shipping costs annoy me when they misrepresent a product.

Overall they are OK to deal with and offer good values, but on their subjectively described items, keep in mind what it cost you to have revealed the error of their ways.
