Buyers Remorse

I always look at my bank account and never have regrets on buying any knives. Then and again the most I ever spent was $170 on a knife...twice. But I'm looking at $200-$300 knives now so I'm sure that will change VERY shortly. I'll definitely never spend $400+ unless I win a lottery or get a STUPID HIGH paying job.

Knives, they're a better investment than women.

You sir are more right than possibly anyone has EVER been. I just sold off like 11 knives in the past few months.....probably broke even, can't say that about women though

I have felt it.

But, I have a couple remedies....

1. A long romance. I wait and wait 'til I cannot stand to wait any more, then I wait some more. Mostly this has to do with poverty, but I still end up waiting, so it counts.

2. Buy used. There are so many knives out there, that if you wait awhile, you will find the one you want, gently used, maybe sharpened, but still perfectly wonderful.

I have more commonly felt seller's remorse....

A couple years back, I sold some knives, and I wish I had not.... But, then again, if it is meant to be, I will meet them again.

And like has been mentioned, if you keep your knives in good condition, they generally have a good re-sale value, as long as you did not buy it on the bleeding edge.

Best,
Marion
