Hey guys, I from Canada and I'm trying to purchase a ESEE 6 blade only.....G10 scales and a kydex sheath. The knife connection is out of stock of the blade only and limited on color of the sheath. Anyone know how often THK gets stock in? Does anyone know of a Canada online store that I could check out? Also had the same problem with knife works....out of stock.

May I ask why you want the Kydex sheath vs. the molded one? The Esee kydex sheath doesnt come with rivets and is definitely inferior to the molded one(it is not your average molded sheath). The molded one is much tougher and more resistant to high heat and wont lose its shape and retention if it gets too hot. It is also more resistant to sub zero temps and wont get brittle and break/crack as easily as kydex can. The retention is also better on the molded one and is more durable in the long run. Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin(the owners of Esee) tested the two and the molded sheath outperforms kydex in pretty much every aspect. The only reason all of their sheaths arent molded is the cost to have the molds made. I recommend the molded one with the molle back(it comes with a clip too and gives you the choice between it or the molle back).

I ordered an ESEE 6 from Knife Works only because THK was out of stock. It turned out to be cheaper for me to order from a US company and pay the shipping than to buy the knife from any Canadian dealer....I did however get the THK g10 scales from THK. Now the hard part, wait.
