Buying and shipping from Israel

I have an opputunity to buy a knife from and individual in Israel. I know there have been some bad experiences from that country but of course that involves a small minority. I have never bought a knife outside the US. Any do's or don't. I was thinking of using Paypal. Good or bad idea? Any other help would be great. I didn't know what forum would be best to post this. Hope this is OK.

I truly hate to post this, but you should be very careful.

there are a number of con artists living in this country, some specializing in knives.

Of course, there are a number of honest people here too, whose word is as good as anyone else's. Still, at least a few people here are doing their level best to give their country a bad name.




I would imagine that Gig's email pretty much covers the fine points.....
