Buying blade steel in bulk-who makes deals and who doesn't

I have been making my knife models in batches of 16-24 and am needing to step up my production to 80-100 knives per batch. This has me looking for discounts when it comes to material purchasing.

I am specifically interested in CPM S30v and CPM154 in precision ground flat stock. Are any of you buying your material in batches that large from suppliers or are you going straight to the source?
 
Steel suppliers deal in tons, not bars. You can check with Niagara and see what they might do for a few hundred pound batch. Most knife suppliers have their steel fairly low already. Shipping is what you will save by buying 10 bars at a time.
 
i split 500lb of XHP with another maker and gor a greaat deal l on it as far as price that was 3/32 thick 2x3foot sheets
