My last two purchases were greatly influenced by information received here at Bladeforums (LCC and Arclite-which I'm still waiting on). How has BF influenced your purchases?

It's compelling me pretty strongly to purchase some Prozac

How has BF influenced my blade purchases? You've got to be kidding! If it weren't for this place, I'd be RICH, too!

Well, maybe not rich, but very well off, I should clarify

News at Eleven: Knives cause Poverty!

Nice to know I'm not the only one that thinks I'd be richer if I hadn't stumbled onto this place!

But seriously, I feel I've been able to make more intelligent, more knowledgeable knife purchases because of the information received from the fine folks here.

And I never would have heard about William Henry!

Non-controversial signature line follows: I like William Henry fine knives.

If it weren't for the "Knives For Sale/Trade" Forum here, my wife wouldn't be so pissed at me all the time for spending "too much money on another knife that I don't need".

I used to be a gun nut. Well, I still am) but since I have started reading this forum I've added another interest. I've gone from carrying inexpensive lockbacks to Benchmade and Spyderco products. I've learned a lot about sharpening and that has been very important to me as I was always reluctant to buy a good knife for the lack of knowledge on how to properly sharpen a blade.I don't have a large collection but I do have some much nicer knives than I had a few months ago.

Are you kidding? Before Bladeforums I never heard of REKAT, now I have four. Two of them are Bladeforums REKAT Carnivores, one for daily carry and one for the gun safe.

Finding BF's was the biggest blunder I ever made in my life, coming back was brain damaged. A little over two years ago I had no idea there was such a thing as a custom knife, now I'm ordering them like I had the money.

But, on the positive side....uhhhhh....let me get back to you on that one.

Bladeforums has been a constant source of information that has helped me make many buying decisions. I wouldn't change one of those decisions. I may be poorer, but I'm having a great time spending all my money on something that I love.

Bladeforums introduced me to custom knifemakers. They were always just names in a magazine before. I've bought and used Spydercos and Benchmades for years, and still plan to buy more, but now I've gone and ordered a Darrel Ralph Apogee. I don't even have it yet, and already want a couple more of Darrel's knives. And after committing to the Apogee, suddenly the Sebenza I'd been eyeing, the Matt Lamey Combat Bowie, the Neil Blackwood Medium Tactical, and DDR's EDC, all seem within reach. It's all in the mind, and I have lost mine thanks to BF. 2001 will be a great year for knives, and a very sad one for my wallet

Now if Rob Simonich would just start taking orders again...my wallet and I would never be reconciled!

Bladeforums has definetly influenced my purchases. It has also given me much knowledge, and educated me to being a smart consumer when buying knives.I find myself as time goes on feeling better about what purchases I've made.Like alot of us here,I never thought I'd drop 4-500.00 on a knife, but my knife tastes have far exceeded my finacial capabilities. No more Home Shopping Network knives for me
