Buying Knives in NY, Philly, D.C., San Francisco, Sacramento?

Try TAD Gear in San Francisco. Nothing outside a mall in Sacramento that I am aware of.

Wildsports at the corner of Greenback and Main in Orangevale carries good selections of Benchmade, Spyderco, Kershaw, Buck, etc. knives.

I see Paul 883215 already reported on Wildsports.

They have a very good selection of hunting and fishing gear. I think the prices are very fair (below MSRP and only a little above internet on the knives I've looked at).

why visiting sacramento? because i'm a fan of the deftones and they are from sacramento so i thought: just give it a try. but now i have the impression that maybe i should avoid this town ^^. thank you very much for all the advice concerning knives AND cities!
i hope i will find a decent store this time .

It's worth the drive, may also be Metro accessible. If you need to go into the District, just remember it's a street limit of 3" and maybe less in federal buildings.
