I think THG is probably right. If you collect, you will one day see your collection as deadweight.
On the plus side, if not for collectors, we would not have so many high-end makers of beautiful knives, ideas from which might eventually find their way into the design of a user knife that I might buy. When I visit purveyor sites and see all the 'sold' tags on $2000 knives, I always wonder: 'who is buying all these things.' The answer is collectors, of course.
Too bad that moron politician have decided to outlaw certain designs based on old 'B' martial arts flicks that they saw. If you get a chance, move to a state where they are legal.
