Hello,
I recently finished Cody Lundins book "98.6 degrees, The art of keeping you a$$ alive", and I was wondering if anyone has ordered one from Ragnar's Swedish Knife Catalog at

http://www.ragweedforge.com/SwedishKnifeCatalog.html

I don't know, the site just looks kinda funky, the way you type in the price and model, I've never ordered anything online like that before.

Thanks

:thumbup:I've bought several knives from Ragnar, and will buy more in the future. He's 100% trustworthy. FWIW, I like his site.

Many people here, including myself, have ordered from ragweedforge.com. You will have no troubles as the customer service is excellent. order with confidence.

OK thanks guys. By the way, how do you like the mora knife? Have you read Cody's book. I'm assuming almost everyone here is a survival buff, or at least an outdoors person.

I haven't read the book but I sure have bought a few items from Ragnar! :D
He's very professional, ships fast and cheaply, and he sells excellent products.

The Mora is a standard. It's a very basic no-frills knife with a good slicing blade.
It's the fixed-blade equivalent of the Opinel folders: low price, high performance.

Moras are the best value in fixed blades I've found. Thier performance far exceeds the price. They make great utility knives, and excel as woodcarving knives.

For a full-size Mora, I recommend the Eriksson 911. It's blade is slightly thicker than most Moras, and I find the grip fits my hand perfectly.

If you read the introduction, you'll see he deliberately built the site on a simple premise:

This page can be viewed with any browser, including text browsers like LYNX. It will not blink, bark at you, or layer frames. There are no scrolling banners, spinning heads, or pop-up ads that won't go away. You'll just have to read it!

But it will load quickly.

Why, you ask? Because it was originally put up with a 286. When I first got on the web, my main browser was the server based text browser LYNX. While I have upgraded several times now, I'm still considering the new stuff. I'm under whelmed by the possibilities. Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should do so. The more I view pages with multiple frames, cluttered graphics, animated gifs and blinking icons, the more I appreciate clear, full screen pages.

Anyone ordered from Ragnar in the last month or so? He hasn't removed the "temporarily closed" section from his pages yet, and I was wondering if he had reopened.

Greetings. Ordered a couple of Mora #780 Craftmen from Ragnar early this week.
He emailed the next day to inform me they were "on the way". Excellent service.

Here's another endorsement of Ragnar. He sells great products at great prices. His deals are fast and fair.

Moras are great knives. I've got both a "Clipper" and a laminated steel, birch-handled model. Both are exceptionally well made and fun to use. They're also, apparently, pretty tough, as seen in this testimonial. In fact there's only one problem. Once you get a Mora, you'll want to get some more-a.

A little over a year ago I sent him an e-mail asking for a knife that he didn't have on his website. Ragnar responded quickly and said it would be several months before he would have the model in stock.

A true man of his word, the knife is now available at Ragweed forge.

Thanks for the reminder. I need to order some more goddies from Ragnar :D.
