Buying my 2nd CRK...tell me what to do please...

Ok...so I bought an Umnumzaan and love it. Now 2nd purchase will be a Sebenza. Lg or Sm. Help me out here. I know I will end up with both at some point. This will be an edc knife....can anyone post pics of all 3 for size comparison? Umnum, Lg and sm sebenza's??? Going to order it tomorow...rain or shine :)

Never handled a large, but honestly, I've never had the desire to. I've had LOTS of folders, but the small insingo kicked every one out of my pocket (Umnumzaan included), and now it's the only folder I own. The useable blade to handle ratio is great IMO, and the weight and size of the knife make it barely even noticeable in pocket. Small Sebenza is, andlikely will always be my favorite folder. I really did like that umnum though.. :rolleyes:

Pictures might not do the size difference justice. The large Sebenza seems much larger than the small in real life.

Since you have an Umnumzaan I would get the small first, they are great knives.
 
I would go with the Small 21. The large will be very similar in size to the Umnum. I find the small to be the ideal edc.

I used to use the small exclusively....that is until I found out about the Large.

The Large is so much more useful, way more blade to use, and easier to manipulate, especially with gloves.

Although...I would like to try out a small insingo because that blade profile offers better use of the edge profile....

But if I were only going to get one it would be the Large Micarta Insingo, it is an amazing knife. It has become my ultimate EDC.

Another vote for the small first.
It fits perfectly in the front pocket.
The large one later.

I prefer the large to the small, but I actually need a decent sized blade for food prep. Go according to your own personal needs...
 
Same here. I'm assuming the large Insingo is the perfect food prep blade for pocket carry. :thumbup:

I don't believe there can be a wrong asnwer one way or another. I EDC both a Large and Small Sebenza and have for a long time now. I still couldn't tell you which one I truly prefer. I use both daily for various tasks and couldn't bear to think of having to carry just one or the other. If I had to play the old game of, "if I could have just one.....", I couldn't give you an answer. When I first joined this great CRK Forum Family I noticed a post by someone who I feel pretty much said it all. "The Small Sebenza is the only knife you'll ever need. The Large Sebenza is the biggest knife you'll ever want." I've always liked that. :D
