Buying my first Busse couple of questions...

Perhaps get a colour coating and when it has been warn Dow simply strip the knife yourself, it's fun doing this. Like you get a whole new knife.

That is not a bad idea. I really like the look of the black coating. How hard is the coating to strip?

It's really easily chemically. Bathe it for a few minutes in something and it'll loosen. Then you just slough it off. Klean-Strip is popular, but I couldn't find it and used Citristrip gel, which worked well. You really don't want to go with an abrasive for the TG because of all of its concave surfaces (the primary grind and the fuller), plus it'll just be a pain to strip around the guards, the pommel, the handle, etc.

Matt, email me lexi@bussecombat.com. I would love to help you decide on a blade finish. I see all sorts of combinations daily and I know what is appealing and what is not. I just hope we have the same taste or I may not be much help.:D

Well hello all, apparently these are the best knives made so I will just certainly have to get one. My first question is once I place my order how long will it take to get the knife? Second is which of the blade finishes is most durable?

Thanks
Matt

Matt,

Once you place your order, production time will be approx 4-8. Once your knife is ready for shipment, we will contact you
