Buying order preferences for ESEE knives?

The HEST is the last one I'd give up.
My first was a 4 but the Hest is so good I'm getting another.

To be fair tho, I have all the bigger ones covered with non ESEE.(Blasphemy I know)
 
I bounced from one extreme to another:
1. Izula
2. Lite Machete

I wish I had more money I'd like to grab:
3. ESEE-3
4. Hest Folder
5. Junglas
6. ESEE-4
7. ESEE-6
8. ESEE-5
9. HEST

I went with an Izula, then a 6 and my last was a 3.

I love the 6 and 3 but the Izula is a legend for a reason. I could so just about anything with an Izula and a 6.
 
I bought the 4 first as my woods knife. I think it was a good choice. Izula second and the 5 will be next as my BOB knife and camp knife.
 
Started with a 4 for my EDC, just orderd a 5 which will become by hiking and probably an EDC and ordered a new 4 wtih custom slabs. Don't really need a 3 since the 4 covers that realm and though I like the idea of a HEST, I've heard too many complain about the pry bar snagging clothes. I think I just want more 4's and 5's!

i am getting another ESEE-4 for CHRISTmas. and i plan on ordering an Izula-2 before or right after CHRISTmas. then i will probably get an ESEE-6 and a few 3's and a few more 4's. it really is an addiction. i am for sure getting an Izula folder as soon as they are available!

After using the '6, '3, and Izula I can't figure why I need the ESEE-4. It sits in my safe as a backup to my other backups if they were ever lost or stolen or whatever.
 
I started with a RC-3.

Than i bought a Junglas last week. It fits perfekt to the 3. Never thought that i use the junglas much, but the whole week i proceed fire wood and gave it as a gift to the parents from my girl friend. :D Works so good!

Now i need a 5 or 6. to replace my GEK 2000 Knife in the Midzize range.

I am also on the waiting list for a H.E.S.T Folder. Even if i deffinitly need no new Folder.

Maybe in the future a light Machete could be interesting.
 
1) I think the most useful for my needs is the ESEE-3.
I mostly use a knife for cleaning fish, small carving jobs and food prep and the 3 gives me more control than the other knives for detailed work

2) Next up, the ESEE-6 (pretty much perfect for all my knifey needs when carried in tandem with the 3, or an Izula)

3) If I'm going way off the beaten path and I want to do everything with one knife that I can truly rely on, I'd choose the ESEE-4

4) The Izula isn't quite as useful as the ESEE-3 for me, so I'd put this next

Joint 5th) The Junglas and the ESEE-5 are further down the list because they aren't ideal for my environment or my lifestyle, although they're hella cool and a lot of fun

6) In last place, the Lite Machete. I really like it but it has limited uses in North European woodland.

Conclusion: the order of preference is all about your surroundings and what you want to do when you get there

i then sold the 5 and 3. if i can do it over again i'll buy in this order:

2. junglas
3. lite machete

a 4 and junglas covers all my needs though.

For me, this pretty well covers my bases. If I was going to get more just for the sake of getting more knives (not that there is anything wrong with that!) I'd probably add a ESEE 3P (#4) and an ESEE 6P (#5). ;)

If I hadn't won the Izy 2, I'd probably never have gotten one (they are really awesome though now that I have one.) The HEST is a nice knife, but I may sell it. The Laser Strike, well if it had been out before I got the 4 I may have never gotten the 4.

Honestly, as has been said, they are not pokemon. If you really enjoy collecting knives, great, but from reading a lot of post I think a lot of people 1) just have no sense of what need really is, 2) have no self control.

yes, the orange isn't exactly sheeple friendly. plus, i just like the color black in general - clothes, black on black cars, guns and knives.
 
My first was the 3 and i loved. Then picked up the izula and the 5. the izula doesnt leave my back pocket and the 5 is a great camp knife. I just ordered the izula II the orange izula and the hest. I plan to get the jungalas then the 4 and the 6
